NOVEMBER: Assess your insurance needs

| October 30, 2021

It’s National Life Insurance Awareness month and whether you need insurance or want to get a new healthcare plan, open enrollment -- the period when you can enroll in a health insurance plan or make changes to your current plan -- runs from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15. Go through your annual spending on healthcare to determine whether a different plan might suit you better. For those age 65 and over, from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7 it is time to review your prescription (Part D), Medicare Advantage and/or your Medicare Supplement plan.

Do you have the right health insurance in place? What about life insurance? If you work for a company that offers these benefits, now’s the time to pay attention to the coverage you have and compare it to the coverage you need so you can make the right elections during your employer’s open enrollment, which typically happens around now.

Through our insurance agency, Investors Choice Financial Services, we have access to the primary health, life and Medicare insurance companies. We work to find the best fit of insurance policies – therefore we don’t represent the insurance companies we represent you.
